Brenda Prato is a Doctoral Researcher with the Faculty of Canon Law at KU Leuven and a Scientific Researcher with the ECSI Team (Enhancing Catholic School Identity) at the Faculty of Theology & Religious Studies at KU Leuven. Furthermore, Brenda is an Ecclesiastical Judge with the Archdiocese of Armagh.
Brenda Prato obtained the JCL from KU Leuven in 2023 and her Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from the University of Malta in 2018. Her theological interests started with moral theology, particularly the Church’s teachings on Christian marriage.
In 2020, she earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Matrimonial Canon Law and Jurisprudence from the University of Malta which concerns the law of the Catholic Church as it relates to marriage and annulment procedures.
Discovering the canon law licentiate in 2018, she moved to Belgium in 2020 and earned a Master of Society, Law and Religion and a Master of Canon Law at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
Her intention with this blog is to share facts and her theological and canonical thoughts about the Catholic Church while she is conducting her research. She welcomes any questions, suggestions, and other feedback related to this website and any other questions one might have.
